Hi! I'm Sejal
I am a design researcher based in Seattle who specializes in qualitative research and understanding people. I will bring design research expertise to your team and help convert research insights into creating business impact.
My research interests revolve around online communities, peer-production, and open-source software. My current study involves identifying the success models of underrepresented language communities on the Internet and adopting them to make informed design decisions for similar communities, to reinforce the inclusiveness of the Web. My epistemological perspective is to know the world by engagement and get access to knowledge through direct experiences and gaining deeper insights from those lived experiences!
I am currently a graduate student in the Information School at the University of Washington, Seattle. I am specializing in User Experience Research and Design in the Information Management program at iSchool. I completed my under graduation in Computer Science at SPPU in Pune, India and have experience working as a UX Engineer at Wikimedia Foundation.
I am a sports enthusiast and a Black belt in Karate. I get a thrill out of hiking and exploring places.
